Driveway & Courtyard
Horseshoe Driveway, Courtyard Lighting, Linear Drainage, Front Sidewalk
The Jefferson Park Project transformed a steep hillside into a functional and eye-catching hardscape feature. The centerpiece is a spacious horseshoe driveway, designed for easy access from both directions, making daily use seamless for the homeowners and their guests.
At the heart of the property, a large courtyard space doubles as a practical entryway and a visual statement. Border lighting was installed to enhance safety and add a warm aesthetic glow, especially important for walking between the mother-in-law suite, the main house, and the garage during evening hours.
To ensure long-term durability, a linear drain system was installed to manage water flow and prevent puddling, keeping the surface safe and reducing wear. The project was finished with a clean sidewalk connection to the front entry, tying the hardscape into the overall design of the home.
The Jefferson Park Project set out to turn a steep hillside into a functional and beautiful entryway for the home. The main objective was to design a horseshoe driveway that allowed easy access from either direction, making daily use seamless for the family and guests. Alongside this, the project aimed to create a central courtyard with built-in lighting for safety and aesthetics, ensuring the space could be enjoyed day and night.
To protect the investment and prevent water issues, a long linear drain was installed to manage runoff and stop puddling on the surface. Finally, a front sidewalk was added to connect the driveway and courtyard to the entryway, providing safe and convenient pedestrian access. Together, these objectives focused on blending practicality, safety, and curb appeal into one cohesive hardscape design.
